Selling Specialties

Here at the shop we're constantly proving our mastery of everything from European classics to modern collectibles, and everything in-between. This mastery is obvious in our restoration work like the recent Best in Show award for the Ferrari 365 Gtb/4 'Daytona' at the Road America Concours. Our guys down in the showroom are just as knowledgeable on a huge range of classics, electrics, and modern collectibles. Join us as we cover the collectible market and how our sales team helps you get the most on your sale quickly.

When you reach out about selling your classic, our sales team handles consignment inquiries just like our restoration shop. Our first step is to get some eyes on the vehicle. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a car in the metal is worth a million.
Our three-man sales team looks over your vehicle and gets some general ideas about condition, history, documentation, and personal story behind the car. Bill, Tom, and Pat represent more than 80 years of automotive knowledge. Bill's long-developed mastery in nearly everything 1940s'-1980s', Tom has a specialty for wagons and modern classics from the 80s-2000s, and youngster Pat covers the newer models like the 2013 SL63 currently in the showroom and the Rivian R1T sold late last year.

Once the team has some ideas on your collectible they scour the internet and recent sales to help you understand current market value for your particular example. Unlike many classic car dealers, our team and sellers agree on a price before the vehicle arrives for sale. The sales team works tirelessly to get you accurate and up-to-date information to help price the car correctly and get it sold quickly. Our smaller showroom limits our capacity for sales cars, meaning the guys are focused on the current cars and always looking to have new stock flowing in. In the modern world of car sales, the guys are knowledgeable in both the collectibles and the ever-growing world of online auctions. Just a few years ago, Bring a Trailer was a common name. Now the site is becoming a long-term waiting list to get your car auctioned.

Our team has auctioned cars on a few of these websites, and in recent months we've seen a saturation in this auction market. Nowadays, everyone knows BaT is the place to sell, but are you willing to wait 6-8 weeks to get your car listed? Our team can have your car online within the week and give personalized presentations for potential buyers. In short, our team offers a personalized selling experience you won't find online and help you get the car sold before the auction would even go live. Plus, we're seeing more and more online auctions leaning toward a 'No Reserve' setup. If your car goes up on these sites, they're selling the car, regardless of whose bidding or if the car is even in front of the right buyers.

To prove our mastery, the sales team doesn't charge for storage or assign dealer fees on our sales. We want you to get to the most for your classic, saving you the headaches of monitoring auctions or dealing with tire-kickers at your front door. Our consignment service aims to get your car sold within 90 days of arriving, if not we reevaluate the market and reconnect with you. Our sales team prides themselves on what they know, but are also constantly working to keep up with the ever-changing and electrifying car market. If you'd like to sell your car without the hassles of dealing with strangers at your door, our team is always happy to help.

Over the past five months, the guys have sold cars from eleven different brands with model years' ranging from 1967 to 2013. If you'd like to learn more about the sales process give our showroom a call at 720-588-8427 or reach out to the shop at 303-761-1245.
