Vehicle Details

This American muscle classic is a typical story around here at the shop. It’s another of our ‘Last 5%’ cars, where we have to fix stuff that other shops couldn’t. This was more like 20%.

This car spent a lot of time (and the owners funds) at another shop. There, it was loaded up with incorrect parts and shoddy workmanship. We see this a lot. Luckily, they brought it to us. Now, we’re working on resealing the engine properly, getting correct suspension parts installed, making the instrument cluster gauges and switches work properly and much, much more.

The 1968 Dodge Charger brought its new “Coke-bottle” body to the muscle car wars and things were never the same. Add the tunneled rear window and dual round taillights and a legend was born. The Charger R/T was often identified by stripes around its tail. Standard on RT was the 375-horse 440 Magnum. The 426 Hemi was optional. General updates in 1969 included revised taillights and a new split grille. In 1970, the grille was revised again, and was surrounded by a chromed loop bumper.
