THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD - Please call 720-588-8427 or Email info@farlandcars.com to speak to a specialist about other options. This amazingly original 3.0 SC classic Porsche 911 coupe was sold new to a doctor in Washington state Nov 16th 1978 and has subsequently passed through only three other caretakers before the last owner purchased the car over twenty years ago. Besides the factory power sunroof, it was ordered with polished Fuchs wheels, rear wiper and full leather upholstery. (That was actually quite a special option—most USA-spec 911s only had leather front seat facings and vinyl on the rear seats, door panels and dash.)

The file of past service records document the present 49,526 miles as genuine and driving the tight, smooth car confirms it to any experienced 911 buff. The engine is quiet, the transmission shifts well and the entire car feels as solid as these did when new. In recent years the original Blaupunkt radio has been replaced with a modern unit and a strut tower brace was installed in the trunk—both easily removed if the next owner wants originality. An important SC upgrade is the installation of Carrera cam chain tensioners and this car has them. The records also show a 4% leak-down test and a major tune including valve adjustment only a few hundred miles ago. The car is complete with its original owner's books, sales brochure & service history. The factory tool kit, jack, spare & pump are in the trunk and all look unused.

Our shop has just fully detailed the car, including the latest ceramic coating on the exterior. Pay particular attention to the chassis photos (coming soon), which show how clean and never-damaged the undercarriage is. The matching Pirelli P-Zeros have 2017 date codes, but look like they were installed last week, since the car has been driven very little since then. Absolutely no rust is found anywhere on the car and the original paint (!) is still near perfect. 911SCs have been considered the 'best buy' in 911 models for years and are even more so now, with recent auctions showing steady advances in their values. Just like with collector Ferraris, what seems like an extravagant purchase to your wife today will turn out to have been one of your smarter financial moves years from now. (Plus, think of all the fun you'll have with it!)
