Regal Red 1966 Jaguar XKE in for thorough engine bay paint and detail
The Jaguar E-Type was made between 1961 and 1975 which included 3 different series and multiple special editions. This is an early car which makes it a Series 1 which had the 3.8L dual-overhead cam inline six. Series 1s are thought to be the most valuable and sought after version of the car.
Over the years, limited restoration work has been done, including paint (originally maroon), new soft top and interior leather trim. Red-line Michelins and chrome wire wheels add to a very authentic, great-driving E-Type. For this beautiful, deeply-documented Series I car, we did a heavy detail on the engine bay area. This included dropping the engine and painting the chassis area to match the red paint that was applied later in life for this car. We also cleaned all components and made the engine area show-ready.
