1967 was the last year for the Jaguar E-type/XKE’s signature glass-covered headlights and toggle switches on the dash. (Even some later ‘67s came with the open lights intended for the 1968 model year). This car was given a comprehensive restoration and upgrading several years ago, so it isn’t exactly as it left the factory. While that may deter show-oriented perfectionists who prize strict originality, the same features will appeal to folks who want to enthusiastically drive their cars! Like what? Well, when the engine was rebuilt, it received a lightweight aluminum flywheel, upgraded clutch and forged crank pulley for quicker throttle response. An uprated electronic ignition for greater reliability, full stainless steel exhaust with a fabricated chrome header system for added power boosted by low-restriction air filters. It has an oversize Ron Davis aluminum radiator with built-in auxiliary fan for worry-free cooling even in hot, slow traffic.

All engine and differential mounts were replaced with heavy-duty ones plus the front and rear suspensions were rebuilt for proper ride height and handling. The brake system was completely rebuilt along with new Koni shocks. Holding costs down was not a priority!Cosmetically, the car (originally white with black interior) was stripped and refinished in bright Carmen Red and a complete new leather interior, Wilton carpets & soft top were installed. The car had no evidence of past accident damage. There are even more features we can discuss when you call about this terrific car, but let’s sum up by saying it looks great and runs even better than stock E-Types, and these deviations from originality not only make the car more functional, they result in a lower price than a concours-perfect example!
