Vehicle Details

’89 was the final year for Mercedes’ popular 107-chassis SL. It offered all the steady improvements from seventeen years of refinement and is a great car in every respect: lots of power, modern features like ABS & airbag, good A/C and a reputation for bulletproof reliability. This Anthracite over light grey leather example was sold new right here in Denver and has been only three owners’ summertime ride, accumulating just 86K miles with a damage-free CarFax, too.

The original paint & upholstery are in great condition, with no cracks in the dash and nice console wood veneers. The last owner invested quite a bit in maintenance, including new cam chain, spark plugs, recharged A/C and replacing the cam cover gaskets and rear main seal. The car runs & drives very well and everything works as it should.

The original black canvas convertible top is in serviceable shape with clear windows and, of course, the car still has its original factory hardtop. Since it was never a winter car, there are very few stone chips, no cracked lenses and absolutely no rust in the body at all. Only the radio has been upgraded to a more modern Sirius-enabled unit (original is in the trunk) and the owner’s books are in the glove box.

560SL prices cover a wide spread, from $65,000 very-low-mile garage queens to needy high-mile cars in the ‘teens. This car is in a sweet spot of moderate miles and priced at an affordable….
$27,500.
