Vehicle Details

By far, the biggest bargain in the Ferrari market today is the 360 series. An all-new design departure from the 348 and 355 generation with their demanding engine-out service requirements, the 360 was faster, lighter and carried many much-improved technologies. Most notable of those was the second-generation F1 paddle-shift transmission. This new design shifted faster, smoother and even had an ‘automatic’ mode for relaxed driving. Since being introduced in 1999, the new F1 transmission has demonstrated amazing reliability and owner satisfaction. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, there was the flurry of demand for the few manual 6-speed cars a couple years ago, but that has settled down to just another passing fad.)This Spider was delivered new by Chas Pozzi, the Ferrari distributor in Paris, but it was brought to the US and fully federalized almost immediately. (That’s when Ferrari had a two-year wait for new cars in the US). It has been titled and registered in the States ever since. Ordered in popular silver/black, the factory options include red brake calipers, Scuderia shields on the fenders, Daytona seats and the rear Challenge grille. We have all of the original owner’s books in their leather pouch—with the flashlight—all three keys & alarm remotes plus all the tool kits and car cover. Only 10K miles, accident-free CarFax, of course, plus new tires and battery. A full major service with factory-recommended upgrades and cam belts was recently done. Think about it: 400 horsepower, F1 shifting, traction control, ABS, power convertible top, air bags, power steering and great A/C in an aluminum unibody…all for today’s price of a 308!!
