Vehicle Details

The 599 was Ferrari’s fabulous replacement for the 550/575 Maranello series of front-engined V12s. Per longstanding Ferrari practice, the new generation car was vastly superior in every conceivable way, from much more horsepower, far more sophisticated F1 shifting system and new traction & stability controls that did things unheard of just a few years earlier. Books have been written about all this technology, so we won’t try to cover it all here. Suffice to say, the 599GTB is a huge value package today, when the better, low mileage ones are half what they sold for new.

But wait; there’s more:This car is a one-owner ordered new by a multiple-Ferrari owner who wanted a special car to cover the 60 miles to his office every clear day, and unlike many Ferrari dilettantes, he actually drove it! Custom-ordered with nearly $50,000 in factory options, the car had an MSRP of $351,560 (see the window sticker above) and it was regularly and exclusively serviced at the Ferrari dealership.

The exterior is unmarked non-metallic Black trimmed with Natural (Cuoio) leather accented with black carpets, piping and Daytona-pattern seat stripes. Other options include the carbon fiber steering wheel; with progressive LEDs tied to the tach, carbon Driving Zone, the 20” Monolithic wheels over carbon-ceramic brakes, leather headliner and full-power Recaro seats, just to name a few! Of course, it has a perfectly clean CarFax report, has never been damaged, touched up or smoked in. The nose has always been protected by 3M ChipGuard and has scrape pads underneath. Just recently, the car visited the dealership again for a major service to replace all fluids, filters, got the updated water pump and new Michelins all around. Included with the car is everything that came with it new: spare keys, all the books, radio codes, tool package (still wrapped in plastic), the photo build book when it was on the assembly line in Maranello, original window sticker, factory brochures and literature. There is nothing incorrect or aftermarket on the car and it would be a Platinum contender at Cavallino or the FCA National this September. And here’s the best part – The car now has 39K miles, and is consequently priced at a point that normally only buys 599s with damage history, no service records or a ‘recovered theft’ report on the CarFax. Here’s what should be a $170,000 599GTB at a seriously-for-sale price of $134,500.
