A true unicorn - original 1965 Shelby Cobra MkII in for some mechanical work
In the world of classic cars, not much compares with the iconic Shelby Cobra. Between 1961 and 1968 there were just 998 examples of the Shelby Cobra that originally left the factory. This MKII example fitted with the 289 has been owned by one of our favorite clients over the past 20 years. It shows off a ton of originality including the various AC badging, branded foot pedals, and AC wheel spin-offs.
This Shelby was in for a quick oil change and some very minor mechanical work. While in our shop the team had all been admiring and taking note of the various “tells” that help to identify an original Cobra. Always learning here at the shop. An original always helps.
