Classic Mercedes-Benz 280SL in Dark Red, in for damage repair

Our classic car restoration team is very familiar with the Mercedes W113 chassis. Over the past 30 years we've seen countless 'Pagodas' in for everything from mechanicals to cars like this one, stopping by for some body and paint work.

When this 'Dark Red' Mercedes 280SL first came into the shop the front grille and bodywork showed a recent accident. The hood was stuck in place and required plenty of finesse to get things moving again. Our team was even able to save the bodywork-inset headlight notches that these 280s are well-known for. Once the hood was clearing properly, our body team pulled the impacted bodywork back into shape. Then the metal was perfected, primer was applied and final coat. Matching the original Dark Red (more like a deep burgundy or maroon) wasn't easy, but the kind of thing we excel at. The customers recently picked up the car and the smiles on their faces said it all!
