We purchased this car from a local collection several years ago and have been maintaining it for the diligent new owner since. Few Plus 8s were imported due to difficulty getting the carbureted Rover 3.5 liter aluminum V8 emission US certified. The novel solution was to run the cars on propane! Naturally, once the cars were delivered out of emission-testing areas, that induction system was always discarded.

Today this car sports a modern Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, electronic ignition, tuned exhaust headers, thick-core aluminum radiator and runs great! It has a fabulous V8 rumble from the dual exhausts and is quite the hot rod with its updated Tremec 5-speed transmission and wide Michelin tires. Of course, only true Morgan afficionados can tell one Morgan model from another, since they all look so similar, but not many scoot like this one does.

Excellent red paint is set off with black leather on the pre-DOT-style Morgan seats and the black (rarely used) weather equipment remains in nice condition. These came originally with attractive alloy wheels, but this car has been upgraded with chrome wire wheels for a more traditional look (the 5 alloy wheels come with it).

Potential customers in California or anywhere else where emission testing should know it probably can't be registered there and we will require a signed acknowledgement to that effect from the eventual buyer. NOTE: It will not pass emission testing.

If you are considering one of the classic or collectible cars on our website, be assured that coming for a personal visit to inspect first-hand the car that has captured your fancy is very welcome. We practice transparency in all of our descriptions, but believe that nothing is as convincing as seeing and touching the car yourself. Plan a few hours, so you can see, touch, feel and drive the car, and enjoy a tour of our restoration shops to see 'where the magic happens.' If your schedule is too committed, we also welcome a knowledgeable agent visiting for you. Please understand that sales are final, so the time for all due diligence is before you buy. Our cars are sold AS-IS, since most are on consignment from owners. We follow FTC guidelines for all sales and certainly want our future clients leaving more glowing reports among our reviews!
