Description

We have been restoring classic Porsche, Ferrari and more for 32 years. Now, the future is here with a completely restored 1966 Porsche 912 - only it's electric. That's right, no gas, just pure electric energy and fun. This iconic 912 was a local 'barn find' that we then perfected with bodywork, paint, new/restored parts and a fully electric battery system and drivetrain.

Every body panel, every bit of the suspension, interior and more has been refreshed or restored by our expert crew. Extensive, back-to-metal bodywork lies under the smooth silver paint (a modification of Porsche's racing silver.) The interior features updated seats with Italian red leather and tartan inserts. The electronic controls are integrated into the dash, and aluminum accents feature throughout.

The complete drivetrain, battery and controls are from noted electric builders, Electric GT. Their 173 system develops around 200 horsepower (equivalent) and 173 torque. Also updated was the suspension, to handle more performance and the slight switch in front/back weight. Plus, the car features the original Porsche transaxle so you can shift to your heart's delight. Specs-wise, it's a 120 eHP, 100-126VDC kit with a 25kWh battery enclosure. Estimated range is 100 miles. We're happy to teach interested clients about the car and would be happy to take you out for a “classic electric car road test” to help answer all your questions and concerns.

For a 1966 912, this car is very, very fast and must be driven to appreciate how hard it pulls and how well it handles. Wider wheels and tires were added to handle the power. Additionally, it has custom LED headlights that are built in an original Porsche housing, keeping the classic look but providing modern light levels we expect today. Then there's the light-up tailpipe and electric fuel door. And so much more!

We completed a similar restoration on the same era of Porsche - a Targa. The bill was nearly $220,000.

The best part about this electric conversion? It's available now. There are companies (including us) who are building more classic electrics, but you'll wait 2-3 years. And this is the only one available at $155,000. Time to pounce.

If you are considering one of the classic or collectible cars on our website, be assured that coming for a personal visit to inspect first-hand the car that has captured your fancy is very welcome. We practice transparency in all of our descriptions, but believe that nothing is as convincing as seeing and touching the car yourself. Plan a few hours, so you can see, touch, feel and drive the car, and enjoy a tour of our restoration shops to see 'where the magic happens.' If your schedule is too committed, we also welcome a knowledgeable agent visiting for you. Please understand that sales are final, so the time for all due diligence is before you buy. Our cars are sold AS-IS, since most are on consignment from owners. We follow FTC guidelines for all sales and certainly want our future clients leaving more glowing reports among our reviews!
