Colorado-kept classic Mercedes-Benz grand convertible

This is a great example of a Farland Classic Car, something that over the past 60 years has become a member of the family. This 1971 classic Mercedes-Benz has lived a long, luxurious life with the original owners' family up in Aspen, Colorado.

Initially, this car came to us for mechanical work, as the owner noticed a bit of "metal sounds" during the last startup. Once we got our eyes on the car we also noted a few issues in the paintwork and a few areas of rust near the trunk seal. This conversation with the family helped them to decide to get a bit deeper into the restoration realm. We undertook a complete paint job. This started with media blasting, then a good amount of bodywork.

Now we have primer and coats of paint applied. After that, was hours and hours of sanding and polishing. Assembly started, and we have the refreshed interior installed. A new top as well. We'll continue to keep you up to date on this four-seater Cabrio classic!
