Purchased new by our customer's parents in Northern California, this Mercedes-Benz 280 SL has remained in the same family ever since—a remarkable history that made this restoration especially meaningful. Entrusted to us for a complete, no-compromises restoration, the car was carefully disassembled down to the last nut and bolt, with every component inspected, restored, rebuilt, or replaced as necessary. The body was refinished in its original factory color combination, while the engine, transmission, driveline, chrome, trim, and plated components were entrusted to respected specialists for expert rebuilding and refinishing. Every other aspect of the restoration, from bodywork and paint to mechanical assembly and final detailing, was completed in-house by our team. The result is a beautifully restored 280 SL that honors its lifelong family ownership while representing the highest standard of craftsmanship our shop has achieved—our finest 280 SL restoration to date.
