This is a car we are restoring before electric conversion at our partners at Moment Motors.
Over the past couple of years, we’ve been stepping into the classic car electric conversion game.
Of course, we have our pair of classic 1966 Porsche 912’s, one for a private customer, and one we’re building in the shop as our first electric Porsche conversion.
Another example is this single-family owned 1985 Porsche Carrera 3.2.
While it wears the badges of a proud owner, the car was caught in a hurricane up in the northeast a few years ago.
Unfortunately, the car was caught in the water and had a heavily degraded interior.
Since the flood, the car had not been driven and showed a buildup of cobwebs and heavy dust on the exterior.
Then, it came to us to be reborn.
We disassembled the classic Porsche to begin with, including the interior and the engine compartment.
The engine is likely not salvageable because of the flood conditions.
That doesn't matter with an electric conversion of course.
Next was extensive bodywork and metal.
