I recently visited Farland for consultation about a rust issue on my getting-there classic BMW (not quite 40 years old). I was warmly received by Director of Operations, Doug Brown, and given a nice tour of this impressive facility. For starters, the completed restorations in the showroom are spectacular. In the working areas, I saw gorgeous paint jobs, complex metal fabrications in process and a huge metal shop with all sorts of serious machinery, an English Wheel being one small example.
The lead metal shop tech then had a close look at my car and basically talked me out of turning a small rusty area into a big, expensive project and gave me some excellent DIY pointers on how I might handle it myself. I am very impressed by the professionalism and integrity of this company and am almost tempted to go search for a car that would be a good restoration candidate.

Advertised car sold,
It was an older Lexus, that was sold, we should have called ahead.
We learned a helpful lesson on calling first for availability.
My 18 year old grandson brought his 89 year old grandpa along to check out the Lexus.
I changed the rating for the lesson learned

I purchased my dream vehicle from Farland Classic Restoration. It was there as a consignment sale and I was extremely pleased with my salesperson, Tom. He was very helpful answering all my questions and even did a FaceTime walk around the car. When I had a pre-purchase inspection being scheduled, he was very accommodating, even went on the test drive and took several videos to send me. The paperwork was sent quickly and everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional. The shipping process was a breeze with the shipping company Tom recommended. All in all, an extremely wonderful process. I would highly recommend Farland Classic Restorations and Tom.

I own a 1973 Mercedes 280 SE 4.5 which is a beautiful car from five feet away; but it's developing rust in the doors and in the rocker panels, needs some work done on the interior, and could use a paint job. I stopped at Farland yesterday and spoke with a super helpful service rep who very patiently spelled out for me how to approach a semi-restoration of my vehicle without spending more money that it's worth. He really helped me gain clarity where I had been a bit lost. The bottom line? Farland is not the right facility for my automobile but he was happy to refer me to other shops. I really appreciated the help. Very much.
