THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD - Please call 720-588-8427 or Email info@farlandcars.com to speak to a specialist about other options. Short of the ultra-rare fuel-injected L84, the 365-horsepower L76 327 was the hottest Corvette engine available in 1965 until the 396 arrived. With only ten horsepower less than the fuelie, the L76 was a popular choice, especially when paired with the Muncie 4-speed and positraction. This car had all those features—from new—and is exciting to drive!Over the last 55 years, the car has retained its original factory engine & drivetrain and lived a fairly uneventful life. It grew a stinger hood and a factory hardtop along the way, plus a great period set of American Racing mag wheels. The original Saddle interior is fair and the white convertible top is very serviceable.

Several thousand dollars have been recently spent on the usual stuff—fuel & water pumps, new gas tank, instruments, battery, starter, charging system, distributor and carburetor work. It runs & drives great, and after the usual old-Corvette squeaks & rattles, makes no unsettling noises.

The last paint job was this rather polarizing orange; it still looks reasonably good, but has plenty of minor flaws and begs to go back to the original Glen Green…or Black, or red or whatever you happen to like. Obviously, it's the car's biggest weakness, but has been compensated for in the price. Consequently, it presents a great opportunity for someone who is handy and likes to do detailing work to get rid of the overspray here & there by putting sweat equity into this very solid C2.Odds & ends: New radial T/As, heater core, exhaust. Tinted windshield & hardtop window nice & clear, new shocks, factory telescoping column w/teak wheel, original radio, clock works (!) and there's a big file of receipts & documentation that go with the car showing new clutch & synchros (7K miles ago) and a strong compression test 3K miles ago. A killer '65 L76 is an $80,000+ car today, so there's lots of room to grow the car's value and you can enjoy it as the project proceeds. Very desirable original specs, matching numbers and 'way under market—that doesn't happen often!
