Great original color 1968 Porsche 911L in Tangerine with Black
We're always digging into originality here at the shop, but sometimes we get to admire others' work. This 1968 Porsche 911L was restored by CPR Classics, a heavy-hitter when it comes to aircooled Porsche restorations. Now that car has made its way into Colorado and is stopped in for some detailing, degreasing and cleanup.
The 1968 Porsche 911L was a one-year-only model offered worldwide with around 2,000 cars built. Due to emissions standards in the U.S. at the time, the new 2.2L 'S' models would not pass U.S. emissions regulations and the 'Lux' model would be considered the “top-of-the-line” model for the U.S. market. This example is very well-optioned with a rare combination of options including the 'elephant hide' seats, Goldie sunroof, and color code '6809' Tangerine.
