Description

This incredible example of a split-window is in for some body repairs. The left rear wheel knock-off came loose on the road, damaging the rear quarter panel. We replaced the panel, did the required bodywork and repainted it to factory color. The repair is basically invisible.

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is part of the second generation of Corvettes. They came with a 327ci V8 producing anywhere from 250 horsepower to 360 horsepower depending on what options you got. The 4 speed manual also was the most popular choice being selected on almost 18,000 cars out of a total of 21,513 cars built. The split window however sets this vehicle apart and suddenly turns this car into a holy grail Corvette. It was only built with the split window for the 1963 model year mainly because after some were built and had been delivered, customers were complaining that they couldn't see anything behind them regardless of how good it looked. 21,513 1963 Corvettes were made total but only 10,594 were coupes.
