Complete - Full restoration and Tunis Gold paint on this 1970 280SL Convertible
MAKE SURE YOU CLICK THE VIDEO for a recap on this car. The Mercedes Benz 280 SL was produced from 1967-1971 with 23,885 cars being produced in that time. This particular car had the 2.8L Inline Six with 170 horsepower and 180 lb ft of torque mated up to an automatic gearbox. Restoration of this classic Mercedes included metal and lead work as well as complete body and basecoat/clearcoat paint in an original Mercedes Benz color of Tunis Beige with a Cognac leather interior.A large supply of new MB and NOS parts were used in the restoration.
The engine & transmission were both rebuilt by our local MB mechanical guru using only the highest quality parts available. The exhaust is new from MB Classic. The interior was trimmed in-house using the highest quality materials including a new soft top.The car has its original owner's manual showing it sold new in Beverly Hills. It was purchased by our customer's father-in-law in CA in the early 1980's, and has been in their family ever since.We later sold this vehicle successfully on behalf of the owner
