The classic Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda, in for a thorough restoration.

With the grouping of classic Mercedes-Benz 280SL in the shop we have long been masters of the beloved W113 Pagoda chassis. This high and dry example shows a dark brown over a Tobacco colored interior. Initially the car came in for some general maintenance and to get it running right.

We found that this engine and transmission needed plenty of attention. Now as we work through the mechanicals, out technician Jorge has carefully disassembled and documented this brown Benz.

We have also fully dismantled and recorded the vehicle for paint. It came back from media blasting and we were able to see exactly what's going on in the bare metal. Next was bodywork, getting all the panels finished and fitting right.

We laid down the first coat of paint on the engine bay, door jambs, etc. Most recently, we applied the first coat to the body. It's stunning! Keep en eye out as we continue to restore this brown Colorado classic.
